As of Friday the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority is accepting applications for wholesale cannabis permits as well as licensed producer registrations.

The Battlefords Boys and Girls Club has furnished its basement and developed programming for youth ages 11-14 years, creating the Husky Energy Youth Program. Husky donated funds for the programming.

The flames and smoke at the North Battleford Waste Management Facility are put out by the fire department and the Facility will re-open again at noon.

Scammers pretending to represent SaskPower have been known to call, email and even physically visit businesses. The scammers claim that unless the resident or business submits payment on the spot, their power will be disconnected immediately.

Battleford town council notes: April 2018

North Battleford’s waste management facility is closed this morning as the fire department deals with a fire. The City advises the facility will be closed until further notice.

Members of parliament in the House of Commons reacted with shock to the April 6 Humboldt Broncos bus tragedy. Several MPs from across Canada voiced their support and condolences in the wake of the tragedy, and observed a moment of silence.
