A special council meeting has been called for Thursday at noon in North Battleford City Hall council chambers.

The same old issues plagued the Battlefords AAA Stars Tuesday night at the Civic Centre. Ill advised penalties proved to be costly for the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League team as they dropped a 4-2 decision to the Saskatoon Blazers.

Public assistance requested

Although the results might not have shown it, the Battlefords Sharks proved that they could compete with one of the highest scoring teams in the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League last weekend.

Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 30 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17. Monday, Jan. 16 2:54 p.m.

The case against the man accused in the shooting death of Colten Boushie on a farm south of the Battlefords was back in court again Tuesday, sort of.
