North Battleford Comprehensive High School has officially opened its brand new gymnasium. The second gymnasium is located on the south side of the high school and is for use primarily by Grades 7 and 8.

The Town of Battleford hopes to save $4,000 this year and up to $12,000 a year in the future by following the technological trend of paperless meetings.

Tuesday at Sakewew High School, local high school students got a chance to learn how to start their own businesses. It was a workshop put on by business students with the Enactus group from the Edwards School of Business, University of Saskatchewan.

Ten-year-old Tifa Dezic, North Battleford’s only entertainer booked for this year’s Telemiracle, had a great time in Regina March 6.

Building permits are still down to begin the 2016 year in North Battleford. In February there were seven permits issued for $814,500, compared to six permits for $4,887,000 for the same month last year.

Dr. Barry Hubbard of North Battleford, Saskatchewan passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the age of 72 years. The funeral service was held on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m.
