11 nominations in Better Newspapers Competition

For the 16th year in a row, Gold Eagle Casino has completed its Pride of the Northwest competition at the Events Centre.

Students at high schools in the Battlefords have had some exposure to a game about First Nation culture and values.

The Dekker Centre's Celebrate the Arts returns for the fourth year Friday, April 8. With a different theme each year, the annual event is a fundraiser for the facility.

Local politicians in the Battlefords will be up against some considerable competition Tuesday night when the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce hosts its all-candidates forum.

The Kiwanis Club of the Battlefords held a meeting followed by guest speaker, Ray Knowles, Monday. Knowles spoke about his 30 years of experience with the military, with focus on his tenure in Rwanda.
