WINNIPEG, Man. —- As humans, we need to sleep. Yet, on both sides of the border, "sleeping" can be considered a criminal act - especially if you are homeless and have no place to rest your head, other than in public spaces such as parks.

Arla Carol Geddes Soderberg, born January 25th 1924 in Dodsland, Saskatchewan the third child and only daughter to William and Anna Geddes. Arla had an early interest in nursing and worked in the Wilkie Hospital.

Members of the Reigning Riders Light Horse 4-H Club were successful June 6 in obtaining equine health and emergency first aid certification through Equine Health Canada.
