Dear Editor The urban squirrel is a member of the rat family. These little critters belong in the country, not populated areas. I know people think they're cute. Maybe so but, they should not be fed or treated like pets.

North Battleford Fire Department responded to a recycling dumpster fire Saturday just before 4 a.m. at 1191 - 110th St. Three firefighters and one pumper were on the scene for just under 14 minutes. The dumpster was a total loss.

Intestinal illness at the Battlefords Union Hospital is not related to the city-wide precautionary drinking water advisory, according to a City of North Battleford press release.
