Doug passed away peacefully at his Sherbrooke Community Centre home on his birthday, March 17, 2015 at the age of 71.

Update: Battlefords RCMP advise a situation involving a firearm complaint Sunday has been resolved peacefully.

Between 6 a.m. Friday, March 20 and 6 a.m. Sunday, March 6, the Battlefords RCMP responded to 117 calls for service.

They had to hang on for their lives at the end, but hang on they did, and the Hafford Hawks are the Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League Champions.

The dedicated service and quick response of RCMP personnel was recognized Wednesday afternoon at Chapel Gallery by the province’s Lieutenant Governor. The Hon. Vaughn Solomon Schofield was in North Battleford to present the RCMP awards.

Two people have been charged by RCMP for trafficking prescription medications. Friday at 11:00 a.m.

RCMP are looking for two young runaways. March 19 at 11:02 p.m., Eagles Nest Youth Ranch reported that 15-year-old Jacqueline Henderson had ran away. Jacqueline was last seen at 10:30 p.m. when room checks were conducted.

RCMP in Blackfalds, Alta., are renewing their request for the public’s assistance in locating 68-year-old Roze Burk.
