WASECA — A very enjoyable carol service, sponsored by the Lutheran Church, was held in Waseca Hall Dec. 7.

Mild weather moves water line repair along

Nicer weather has made progress on repairing a water line break on the west end of town a little easier to deal with, than when it’s -30 C. The water was shut off from Sunday morning until Monday noon, so the guys did very well.

More than $2 million in car thefts reported

According to RCMP, between Jan. 1, 2012 and Sept. 30, 2014 reported vehicle thefts in the Battlefords, Biggar, Unity, Cut Knife, Maidstone, Rosetown, Rosthern and Warman detachment areas have exceeded $2 million in value.
