WASECA — A very enjoyable carol service, sponsored by the Lutheran Church, was held in Waseca Hall Dec. 7.

Nicer weather has made progress on repairing a water line break on the west end of town a little easier to deal with, than when it’s -30 C. The water was shut off from Sunday morning until Monday noon, so the guys did very well.

RABBIT LAKE — It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and sound like and feel like it as well! Several people in the village took advantage of those couple of nice days and have hung up all sorts of Christmas lights.

UNITY — “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go!” This familiar tune is holding true to all the activity taking place in Unity this December.

There is no need for an election for Battlefords Chamber directors in 2014. There were exactly 11 nominations for the 11 available positions for the upcoming term on the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
