North Battleford Housing Authority has named the 2014 Yard Pride Contest winners. NBHA holds annual yard pride contests to encourage and celebrate excellence in yard care, according to Operations Manager Cheryl Cook-Taylor.

A potluck supper and jam session was held Sept. 25 at the Maymont Seniors' Hall. Entertainment was provided by Russ Fountain, Mel Deagnon, Tom Caldwell and Bert Carpentier. There was great food, entertainment and fellowship.

Second annual Culture Day held in Waseca

Waseca's second annual Culture Day Sept. 27 proved to be a success. Because of the very cool and cloudy weather, the crowd was not as large and some of the activities which had been planned for outdoors were held inside.
