The North Battleford Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 100th Street and 18th Avenue Friday afternoon.

The Kindersely Klippers spoiled the Battlefords North Stars' party Friday night at the Civic Centre.

It's still early, but the indication from Battlefords RCMP Detachment is that the hoped-for freeing up of police resources has begun with the arrival of new municipal enforcement officers this summer.

The North Battleford RCMP detachment received approximately 22 calls for service between 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 and 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19.

Motorists are being advised 101st Street from 12th Avenue through to 14th Avenue in North Battleford will be closed to traffic on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the second annual Downtown North Battleford Fall Festival.

The North Battleford Parks and Recreation, Culture and Heritage Committee approved three more community grants at their monthly meeting Monday.

The North Battleford Comprehensive High School Senior Vikings' offence struggled Thursday night as they were shutout 43-0 by the Bishop James Mahoney Saints at Beaver Lions Stadium. Save for a couple of plays, the offence had trouble moving the ball.
