Intoxicated man locks himself in garage

The North Battleford RCMP detachment received approximately 26 calls for service between 6 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 and 6 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18.


Included in those calls were two false alarms, six traffic investigation or complaints, one Mental Health Act complaint and two missing person complaints.


Wednesday


9:30 a.m. - Request from hospital to assist with calming a patient in the Mental Health Unit.


11:18 a.m. - Complaint of three to four people consuming alcohol outside a local service provider's office on 102nd Street. Members attended and determined that the people were not intoxicated and they were asked to move along.


12:52 p.m. - Complaint of two men walking down 112th Street looking in garbage and backyards. Members patrolled the area and were unable to locate the men.


2:48 p.m. - Complaint of a vehicle window being smashed while parked at an address on 104th Street overnight. No suspects and nothing taken from the vehicle.


3:53 p.m. - Complaint of shoplifting at a local business. Members attended and arrested the individual releasing for court.


6:50 p.m. - Complaint of break and enter at an address on 105th Street. The complainant advised that the perpetrator, an intoxicated man, had locked himself inside the complainant's garage. Members attended and arrested the man. The complainant declined to lay charges for the break in. The man was released once sober.


11:20 p.m. - Complaint of a possible impaired driver leaving a mall parking lot. Members patrolled the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
