The annual mowing bee was held at the Meota cemetery Monday with a great turnout of men and mowers. Lunch was brought out byCarol Feschuk. There are still someheadstones to clean off, asmany are covered with grass.

It all started with a rain shower July 6 at the farmyard of Arlene Walker. Guests had to take shelter in Almlia Hus or the tent for the first half hour or so as the Sons of Norway held a picnic for members, families and friends.

This was the scene Wednesday at City Hall as city employees took part in a demonstration on how old broken asphalt can be recycled and turned back into fresh hot mix asphalt in a matter of minutes.

VAN CLEEMPUT: George Edward Van Cleemput passed away peacefully on July 6, 2014 in Manning Alberta, at the age of 69 years. George was born on February 27, 1945 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan to George and Bertha Van Cleemput.
