Two local dentists are looking forward to retirement - Dr. Lornce Harder and Dr. Gord Johnsson. After 50 years providing dental services to patients in North Battleford, Dr. Harder of Battlefords Dental has retired.

Diana Woytiuk of Blaine Lake Ambulance Care Ltd was presented with the Stars of Life at a Saskatchewan Emergency Medical Services Association awards ceremony in Regina. Lt.-Gov. Vaughn Schofield presented the SEMSA awards May 28.

Two individuals charged in connection to recent incidents in the Battlefords have been sentenced to periods of probation. Laurence Falcon received a suspended sentence and 12 months probation for possession of firearms while prohibited from doing so.
