Herb Troesch's 100th birthday celebrated with friends and family

Herb Troesch was born May 20, 1914 in a log home on SE 6-49-20. The Troesch family continue to farm that same land today. Herb was the second child and eldest son of Jake and Mary Ann Troesch of Edam and younger brother to Lena.

The high school track meet was held May 25 and 26 in North Battleford. The weather co-operated so all the events were able to be completed. The school sent a full team of athletes from students in Grades 7 to 12.

Tuesday, 10 Battlefords Art Club members worked on their artwork. Next week members will be going to Saskatoon on Saturday to go on an art trek featuring nine art studios and 60 artists. Everyone is looking forward to an inspiring art trip.

The North Battleford Beavers fell to 0-3 after a rain-soaked game against the Border City Blue Jays Tuesday night at Beaver Lions Stadium. The Blue Jays downed the Beavers 5-2 to win their fourth-straight game to start the season.
