The Battlefords Art Club made plans for a trip to visit art galleries in Saskatoon when they met Tuesday at Don Ross Centre. The club had a large turnout for the regular painting session and the recpetion of our work in the Chapel Gallery.

The area farmers are trying to get the crop in without getting stuck, however with the rain that we are getting it is hard for them to miss those wet spots. The roads are soft and breaking up so it is making it difficult as well.

The long weekend found lots of traffic and garage sales in the village and many summer folks opening their cabins or bringing in their trailers and getting them parked for the summer months. The dust isn't bad yet after the nice rain we had Thursday.

We would like to send a huge bouquet to SaskPower for replacing the pole between Cochin and Battlefords Provincial Park that was always home to a pair of Osprey. The pole was burned in a prairie fire and our power was out.
