Inspector John Sutherland of the RCMP says cold weather is likely the main reason calls for service were down during the month of January compared to a year ago.

Battlefords RCMP responded to 17 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 and 6 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27. Among those calls were two reports of erratic/dangerous driving and two false alarms. Wednesday 8:11 a.m.

There was a potluck supper in Ruddell Feb. 13. Tickets were sold for gift baskets and the draw was made that evening.
