'Very cold and pretty quiet'

North Battleford RCMP say it was "very cold and pretty quiet" between 6 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12 and 6 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13. There were three alarm calls, all found to be false. 8:42 a.m.

Don't blame being sleepy, grumpy and dopey on a sleep disorder!

Ed, my neighbour next door, was sure I wasted both my time and money in recent trips to the Sleep Disorders Centre at the Saskatoon City Hospital. Ed does not consider snoring a sleep disorder that needs to be addressed.

The temperature Sunday evening was -27 C and it sounds as though there will be no let up in the cold weather for several days. During the cold weather the birds keep themselves busy and their feeders empty quickly.

Eagles end Outlaws' winning streak before playoffs

The St. Walburg Eagles ended the Wilkie Outlaws' 11 game winning streak Saturday night with an 8-7 victory in NSRHL action. The Eagles were down 6-4 after the second, before scoring four times in the third.
