If this is a dream, don't wake me up. The Saskatchewan Roughriders captured the 101st Grey Cup championship with a 45-23 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Sunday at Mosaic Stadium. Just like the week before, the score flattered their opponents.

Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 40 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 and 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25. Of those three were false or nuisance 911: calls, six were alarms and there were three reports of erratic driving.

Ballet master visits the Battlefords

After touring around Saskatchewan earlier this year in a residency program, ballet master Jaime Vargas has been back in the province to share with more dancers, including Dance Connection students in North Battleford.

Highway 16 west blocked

Two jackknifed semis caused havoc with traffic west of the Battlefords early Monday morning. Battlefords RCMP responded to the scene 20 kilometres west on Highway 16 at 6:40 a.m. At that point the westbound lane was completely blocked. By 7 a.m.
One person injured

One person injured

One person was transported to Battlefords Union Hospital Sunday evening after a single vehicle rollover 14 kilometres east of the city on Highway 40. North Battleford Fire Department responded to the crash with three personnel and one rescue unit.
