RCMP are reporting 12 break-ins at cabins in the Cochin area between Oct. 22 and 28, with the perpetrators' primary target being alcohol. RCMP say the majority of the break-ins are believed to have happened between Oct. 22 and 23.

ASHCROFT: Hugh Charles Ashcroft passed away peacefully on October 13th, 2013. Born in Hafford, Sask. on January 11, 1922 to Harry and Florence (Whittemore) Ashcroft, Hugh spent his early years on the family farm before joining the Navy at 18.

The North Battleford Comprehensive High School Vikings football season ended in a one-sided game, but the team's willingness to battle until the final whistle is what the coaches wanted to see.
