The Manitou Evangelical Free Church in Neilburg hosted Vacation Bible School Aug. 19 to 23. A whopping 57 children attended during the week, with an average attendance of 48per day.

The Access Communications Children's Fund has made a major donation to the Battlefords Boys and Girls Club. According to the press release, the funding will be used towards to provide free evening programming for youth in the community.

Crime has been a hot topic of conversation in the Battlefords ever since the city of North Battleford topped the Statistics Canada Crime Severity index for the fourth year in a row earlier this summer.
