Thirty quilts were completed and made ready to be taken to Calgary Aug. 19 by a Calgary resident who has spent the summer in Saskatchewan. She will deliver them to "Quilting for Calgary" and they will distribute them to Alberta's flood areas.

Cemetery rates go up

It's cheaper to die in Battleford than in North Battleford. Battleford Town Council increased its rates for cemetery plots and services Monday. It's the first time they've been raised since 2004, but they're still cheaper than North Battleford's.
