Honeywood Heritage Nursery held its $10,000 early bird draw Aug. 10 at the Parkside Heritage Centre. Approximately 30 individuals gathered to enjoy a hamburger and witness the draw.

The annual Northwest Territorial Days Exhibition Parade wound through North Battleford Monday evening, with the theme of celebrating the city's 100th anniversary.

The second of three week-long 3P (Production, Preparation, Process) Lean capital planning sessions was held the week ending Aug. 2 in North Battleford regarding replacement of the province's only psychiatric rehabilitation and forensic hospital.

Dear Editor Regarding the photo, "Little Birds, Big Beaks" in the Aug. 1 edition of the Regional Optimist, we have a nest just like it with four of these "Mouth Mash" swallows, only with a little more straw and mom's feathers sticking up vertically.

Our condolences to the family of Micheal Yaceyko, to his wife Tracy (Nosek) and three young children and to other family members, on his sudden death. The funeral for Micheal was held in Waseca Hall Aug 8. Interment was in Waseca Cemetery.

The Saskatchewan Agricultural Hall of Fame has recognized agricultural leaders for 43 years.
