Battlefords students were among 3,400 who earned degrees from the University of Saskatchewan during spring convocation June 3 to 6.

Battleford firefighters got a raise Monday evening retroactive to Jan. 1 of this year. Battleford Town Council approved a recommendation from Fire Chief Larry Gabruch to raise the current firefighting rate from $18 to $19 an hour.
