Seniors' fun day hosted

The Saskatchewan Seniors Fitness Association held their annual meeting and fun day at the Maidstone Seniors' Drop In Centre on April 24. Registration was at 9:30 a.m.

Ball teams ready to hit the diamonds

Summer sports are well underway. A number of people from Waseca have joined with Maidstone to form a slo-pitch team, and others have joined to organize a ladies' fastball team.

Dear Editor I have driven all over the city of North Battleford and have not missed many humps or potholes. I have noticed 11th Avenue is in good shape. I would suggest the City hire the contractor that surfaced it.

The city and the citizens of the Battlefords have given a final sendoff to former mayor Julian Sadlowski. The funeral for Sadlowski, mayor from 2003 to 2009, took place Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Notre Dame de Lourdes Roman Catholic Church.

The Maidstone Drop In Centre March-April potluck noon lunch was held April 20 with 25 seniors in attendance. Seated at the birthday table were Mervin Burgess, Judith Holmberg, Rose and George Danychuck, Dororthy Kissick, Ray Hartman and Joan Smith.
