A few years ago while photographing a wedding I spotted a picture on the wall, one I had seen before.

December 21Battlefords North Stars host the Humboldt Broncos in SJHL action. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at the Civic Centre. December 21Saskatchewan Prairie Hockey League has the Battlefords Beaver Blues in Glaslyn for an 8 p.m. start.

KOOPMAN: In Loving Memory of Jeanne Koopman who was born September 29, 1925 at Crookston, Minnesota, USA and passed away December 4, 2011 at North Battleford, SK.

MARCHEWKA: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ann Marchewka, late of Hafford and formerly of North Battleford, on December 12, 2011 at the age of 90 years. Ann was born on September 16, 1921 at Redberry District, SK.

The North Saskatchewan River Hockey League will break for a few days for Christmas, and for some teams that also marks the halfway point of their season. St. Walburg remains the class of the league at 11-0-0.

The City's 2011 operations budget and five-year capital plan will not see much in the way of changes at either Allen Sapp Gallery or the Chapel Gallery.

The 2012 Operations and Utility Budget, and its 3.9 per cent tax increase, are moving forward to council for approval in the New Year.
