Lil McMillan was to Edmonton for an eye appointment. Her daughters, Della and Darlene, took her there. Lil was saying the roads were like summer. No snow.

Laptops stolen from NBCHS

A black 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier was stolen from an inn on the Highway 16 bypass Highway in North Battleford Nov. 27 at approximately 9 p.m. The vehicle was later recovered near a business on the 11000 block of 110th Street.

Synergy Credit Union Denzil branch ATM was broken into in the early hours of Dec. 15. Unity/Wilkie/ MacklinRCMPsay an undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

Keep the poor in our hearts

The snow has (finally) started to fall again, the wind is getting colder, and most of us are getting time off of work or school to spend with family and friends. The Christmas season is finally here.

Farmer and army veteran passes away

Sympathy goes out to the Rayner families from the local area and Battleford on the recent passing of Thomas Rayner. Tom was the eldest boy of a family of 10 children.
