WEBER : It was April 14, 1923, a baby girl by the name of Isabella was born to Peter and Anne Baker in the small town of Biggar, Saskatchewan. Our mother was the first of 12 children, six boys and six girls.

JOHNSON: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clara Johnson of Battleford, SK on Saturday, June 18, 2011. She was born March 17, 1926 at Bresaylor, SK. She married Vaughan Johnson and farmed in the Wilkie area.

The first phase of the rejuvenation of the Battleford Opera House has been completed with a new roof, insulation where none existed before and the installation of new windows. This phase has been deemed an award-winning effort.

The Lions Clubs International Foundation gave three awards to important gentlemen at the Lions Club House Monday. Ed Smith has been in the North Battleford Lions Club since 1961 and received a 50-year pin.
