The first phase of the rejuvenation of the Battleford Opera House has been completed with a new roof, insulation where none existed before and the installation of new windows. This phase has been deemed an award-winning effort.

Battlefords RCMP are once again dealing with residential break ins at the resort village of Cochin, 35 kilometres north of the Battlefords. Between June 12 and 20, 12 reports of break and enters to cabins in Cochin were received by Battlefords RCMP.
