The Battlefords Bantam Sharks opened their season with two wins on the weekend. Friday, the Sharks hosted Viking, Alta. Danae Bugler was sharp in net as the Sharks came away with a 1-0 victory.

Borden Busy Bees Preschool held a bingo and bake sale Oct. 20 in the school gym. Winning the three kids' games were Bentley and Bo Burletoff and Hailey Harris.

Stolen firearms were seized from a residence on the 1000 block of 108th Street in North Battleford Thursday. Members of the North Battleford detachment were at the residence in response to a 911 hang-up.

The Battlefords Agency Tribal Chiefs Community Development Corporation has donated to the Battleford Union Hospital Foundation. The BATC CDC made two donations to the hospital. The first was a $50,000 donation for the purchase of an endoscopic tower.
