SEIB: In loving Memory of Reinhold Friedrick Seib who was born at Rosenfeld, MB and passed away May 29, 2011 at North Battleford, SK. Reinhold is survived by his sister, Betty (Walter) Wilson, Edmonton, AB and half-brother, Roger Seib, Rosetown, SK.

A new homeless shelter proposal has made its way to North Battleford City Hall. However, no decision has been reached on the bid to set up a shelter by the Reclaim Outreach Centre on 102nd Street.

Plans for the July 2 - 3, 2011 Waseca 100th Year Celebration are finalized with expected attendance to be close to 400 people over the two days. The celebration starts Saturday, July 2 at 7:30 a.m.

Cribbage was played May 22. Jean Hartman supplied lunch and hosted, assisted by Dorothy Schwartz. High score went to Bev Stewart and low to Eva Inkster. Bingo was played May 25 with Joan Smith and Margaret MacEachern doing the calling.

FEDLER: IN Loving Memory of Brian Bernard Fedler who was born April 19, 1960 at North Battleford, SK and passed away May 19, 2011 at North Battleford, SK. Left to cherish Brian's Memory is his wife, Robin and his loving children: Lorilee (Alex), B.J.

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League held its annual general meeting earlier in June in Nipawin.

HEAD; The family of Myron Head is saddened to announce his passing on June 4, 2011 at Terrace, BC. The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m.

One thing that I have always enjoyed in life is meeting new people by chance. Often this has given me the opportunity to make interesting acquaintances and expand my horizons in the process.

A pleasant spring seems to be leading into a nice summer. The vivid green of the foliage in the west valley is very appealing to the eye. One enjoys walking there, noticing the young birds growing up.
