Old buildings can hold a lot of history in their walls, quietly part of a community's story until all that is left are memories and a few photographs. One of Maidstone's oldest buildings was torn down late last month to make way for new construction.

One semi truck rear-ended another at the Junction of Highway 303 and Highway 21 near Turtleford Sept. 14, according to RCMP.

Maidstone RCMP are requesting the public's assistance. Sometime between 8 p.m. Sept. 7 and 10 a.m. Sept. 9, unknown suspects stole 300 feet of welding cables and an eight inch bevelling machine out of a work truck in Maidstone.
