Hitting the road for summer visiting
I'm back again after a wonderful summer. We can't complain about our weather this year as it was mostly lovely, warm and sunny. Hopefully September will be nice too, so the farmers can get their harvesting done.

As fall approaches we are experiencing much cooler evenings and there is a noticeable difference in the length of the days. Corn has at last begun to ripen in the garden. It just needed the warmer weather we are presently enjoying.

Grass fire causes damage
A grass fire occupied the attention of emergency crews over the holiday weekend. The alarm came in around 4:50 p.m. on Labour Day. According to North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services the landowner says the fire started from a burning barrel.
