MCNABB - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Florence McNabb, late of North Battleford, on April 24, 2011 at the age of 94 years.

THOMPSON: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" William Thompson, late of North Battleford, Saskatchewan on May 2, 2011 at the age of 81 years. Bob was born on December 27, 1929 at Kindersley, Saskatchewan.

BUDD: In Loving Memory of Queenie Elizabeth Budd who was born January 15, 1919 at Somerset, England and passed away April 26, 2011 at North Battleford, SK.

It was a busy weekend for North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services as they responded to a number of incidents involving motor vehicles.

The Battlefords now boasts an additional 42 child care spaces after the grand opening of Village Centre Childcare in North Battleford.

The Saskatchewan Golf Hall of Fame is in its second year of inducting some of Saskatchewan's best golfers and builders of the sport and they are asking for the public's help.

CARRIERE: In Loving Memory of Marie Therese Josephine Carriere who was born April 6, 1924 at Crookston, Minnesota, USA and passed away April 30, 2011 at Battleford, SK.

We hope all mothers enjoyed Mother's Day. A feature of the day was a Mother's Day brunch held in Waseca Hall and sponsored by the Waseca 100th Anniversary Committee. Many families attended to enjoy a time of visiting as well as a delicious meal.

It is time for the conference championships series in the NHL to start and since I'm in the rearview mirror of nearly everyone in my playoff hockey drafts it is time to quickly change the discussion.
