Meota has become a regular stop on the trail for the Prairie Women on Snowmobiles. For a few years, this organization has been travelling the province early in the New Year to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.

Christmas is coming to the Chapel Gallery on Sunday, Dec. 12 from noon until 4 p.m. Gallery staff would like to thank all patrons and gallery members with a holiday celebration.

New office gives immigration centre more workspace

City council has given its approval to a downtown homeless shelter following a special session of council held Monday.

The Town of Battleford just got a little closer to its Gasoline Alley dream, as council approved a $39,100 estimate for a detailed design of the service road, which will run from Highway 16 to 29th Street along Highway 4 south.

Borden Farmers' Market held a successful Christmas sale Dec. 4 in the Borden Community Centre, with 20 vendors selling their wares in the main hall and 10 in the seniors' room. The Grad 2011 class sold lunch.

Prairie North Regional Health Authority board met Oct. 27 for a regular meeting. Board members approved a revised Continuous Safety and Quality Improvement (CSQI) Framework. The framework was originally developed in 2004 and was updated in 2007.
