Meota has become a regular stop on the trail for the Prairie Women on Snowmobiles. For a few years, this organization has been travelling the province early in the New Year to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research.

Prairie North Regional Health Authority board met Oct. 27 for a regular meeting. Board members approved a revised Continuous Safety and Quality Improvement (CSQI) Framework. The framework was originally developed in 2004 and was updated in 2007.
