There are times when I'm flooded with memories. They can be triggered by a sight, sound, smell or taste. In this busy season my schedule is full and my senses are overloaded.

Dear Editor I would like to send a bouquet to the volunteers at the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Our family took a "Walk Through Bethlehem" last weekend. It was an enjoyable, interactiveactivity for people of all ages.

North America may have gone through a bad recession, but Saskatchewan is doing just fine, thanks. Right now the oil and gas industry is firing on all cylinders. In December, we saw a record petroleum rights land sale for that month.

As some hid inside their warm houses Saturday and quivered at the sight of the snow falling, others were outside enjoying the winter weather at Table Mountain.

Battlefords Residential Services Inc. (BRSI) held their annual Christmas and awards function Nov. 27 in conjunction with Battlefords Community Players supper theatre at the Western Development Museum.

Twenty members of the Rivers Edge Quilters met at the Don Ross craft room Dec. 7 for the final meeting of a successful year. Members meet regularly throughout the year to work on a variety of projects for themselves and for the community.

Midget AA Barons The Barons played on the road twice this weekend, but neither of their game's results were recorded at press time. The Barons host Watson Friday, Prince Albert Sunday and Unity Dec. 22.

T'was the day 'fore the concert, and all through the school, École Père Mercure penguins were acting like fools. The students were nestled all snug in their desks, while visions of gingerbreads danced in their heads.

After the Christmas break, junior hockey teams would surely love the opportunity to play an exhibition game to wear off the turkey and get back in game shape.
