After three days of scheduled action, just two teams sit in the standings without a loss. The Huskies are 2-0-1 to start the season as they thumped the Silver Bullets 53-12 Aug. 19 and 28-0 over the Slammers Tuesday.

The second Annual Battle Inn The Fords turned out great, with five local bands rocking out to three judges and a loud crowd of supporters. The bands that participated were Keara Monument, Palm Tree Pilots, Chevrotains, Six Blocks, and Mister Fire.

The ceremony may have been short and sweet Saturday, but to those honoured it was a meaningful and appreciated ceremony held at the Battleford Legion Hall.

Eldebrock, an up-and-coming rock band, recently won an award for their website, www.eldebrock.net. The award, presented by the Interactive Media Council, was for website design in the music category.

A motor vehicle accident on the weekend has sent two people to hospital with undetermined injuries. The incident happened Saturday at 9:24 am at Highway 4 North, north of the Lessard Road intersection.
