The Humboldt Broncos

Somewhere, the Humboldt Broncos, are lacing up their skates,

In a “Barn” far above the clouds

Their coach is guiding their warm-up,

In front of a sell-out crowd.

Their fans’ cheers resound far and wide,

To let the angels know

The boys from Humboldt, who arrived too soon,

Are ready to start the show.

The Broncos team of 16 strong,

Will all strive for a barn-burner game

Against past legends of hockey,

Welcomed by them in Heaven’s name.

Those who made this journey with them,

Watch their team race from “coast to coast”

With steadfast support, always ready to help,

Whenever it matters most.

The heart of the Broncos, as everyone knows,

Is the bond they have with each other

From above and below, that heart is a vault,

To keep watch over their brothers.

Though grief is love lost, for those left behind,

Cherished memories will comfort until

Love lost is love found, when they meet once again,

Where grief will forever be still.

As God is Love and Love is God,

It’s plain for all to see

Wherever the Humboldt Broncos play,

Love will always be.

Written in support of all the Humboldt Broncos and their families and friends.
