Bjorkdale News: Season at a end for Bjorkdale School curlers

The senior boys' team headed to NESSAC curling, Bjorkdale School raised $1,600 for Kinsmen Telemiracle and the Arborfield Flyers/Bjorkdale U11s are preparing for playoffs.

BJORKDALE — The Bjorkdale senior boys' team headed to NESSAC curling on Friday March 3 in Prince Albert.

Skip was Nolan Horn, Third Colton Babcock, Second Jared Reid, and Lead Joseph Alderman with coaches Kim Slade and Joanne Schmitt. James van Hasstert had played lead all season long but was unable to attend NESSAC due to hockey. They played Prince Albert and lost 9 – 3 and Saskatoon 7 – 1. The season has now come to an end for the Bjorkdale curlers.

The Bjorkdale School raised $1,600 for Kinsmen Telemiracle. They held a TeleMiracle tea, and other fundraisers throughout the week at the Bjorkdale School.

The Arborfield Flyers/Bjorkdale under 11 team will play their playoff game in Bjorkdale on Monday, March 6. Miller Livestock sponsored a guaranteed 50/50 of $200. The under 9 Bjorkdale Bruins play in Kinistino on Tuesday, March 7th at 5pm.

The Bjorkdale Curling Club will be hosting thier year end family bonspiel on Saturday, March 11. Curlers can register with Michelle Hamel or Vern Moen.
