Emergency Room bypass announced for Porcupine Carragana Hospital

Emergency care will instead be available in Tisdale, Kelvington and Hudson Bay.

The SHA communicates short-term service disruptions (often 24 hours or less)  various local platforms, including but not limited to social media and physical signage at the facilities according to the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

PORCUPINE PLAIN — The Porcupine Carragana Health Centre will be on bypass from 4 p.m. to 12 p.m. on the following dates, according to the Saskatchewan Health Authority: 

  • Thursday, July 31 

  • Friday, Aug. 1 

  • Sunday, Aug. 3 

In a notice of temporary disruption, the health authority said emergency room services will not be available during those times at the Porcupine Carragana Health Centre. 

Emergency care will instead be available in Tisdale, Kelvington and Hudson Bay. 

The Porcupine Carragana Health Centre serves both Porcupine Plain and the surrounding rural municipalities, including Carragana, formerly part of the Kelsey Trail Health Region.
