KIPABISKAU REGIONAL PARK — As of July 31, the Kipabiskau Regional Park beach has passed its most recent water sample, and the previous E. coli swimming advisory has been lifted.
Water sampling through the Saskatchewan Healthy Beaches Program is conducted between June and September, and results are posted on the Healthy Beaches public map
The swimming advisory, which had been prompted by elevated E. coli levels, is now cleared following the latest tests. According to recent reports, the prior sampling on July 23 showed elevated E. coli, but subsequent testing confirmed the water now meets safety guidelines.
Kipabiskau is among only a few lakes in Saskatchewan with a dedicated Water Quality Committee actively working to improve water conditions. This committee began in 2009 and collaborates with the University of Regina on ongoing sampling and nutrient reduction initiatives to support long-term beach health according to Kip Park website.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to check the Healthy Beaches public map before swimming, and to comply with posted advisories—even if a beach appears open
