ROSE VALLEY — The Kings of Nora are revving up for their third annual Show and Shine this Sunday, July 13, from noon to 8 p.m. in the hamlet of Nora, just north of Rose Valley.
The event promises a full day of entertainment, food and family-friendly fun, with attractions for all ages in this once-sleepy community turned hot spot for gearheads.
Rob Wells, one of the event’s organizers, said last year’s show drew more than 600 visitors and featured over 100 cars, trucks and vintage rides from across Saskatchewan.
“This started as a small gathering, and now it’s become something the entire region looks forward to,” Wells said.
Live music will be provided by Barr Road, a local band known for their high-energy mix of country and rock. A beer garden and food booth will also be on-site, serving up cold drinks and classic show fare like burgers and fries.
Alongside the cars, expect door prizes, dash plaques for entries, and a crowd favourite award — hallmarks of a good prairie car show.
Once a quiet farming locality, Nora springs to life during the Kings of Nora event, bringing together generations of auto enthusiasts and community members in celebration of chrome, horsepower and rural pride.
