It's got all the bells and whistles - and sirens, and flashing lights, as well. Humboldt's newest fire truck was delivered to the fire hall last week - and it's a big one.

There was no emergency at the Uniplex on February 3, though there was a brand-new fire truck parked outside. The truck, which was delivered to Humboldt last week, was the centrepiece of the sixth annual Humboldt Emergency Services Charity Event.

Humboldt fire crews were called away from their charity event to fight a fire this weekend. About 15 firefighters with the Humboldt Fire Department responded to a call of a house fire at about 11:30 p.m.

Al Breker passed away peacefully on February 6, 2012 at Humboldt Hospital with family at his side.
