Local boys volleyball teams go head-to-head

Three local volleyball teams from the Humboldt area showed their skill over the weekend. Muenster School hosted the Junior B Boys Volleyball Districts on November 5. "It was a four-team tournament," said Chad Hofmann, coach of the Muenster Cougars.

Broncos earn player of month honours

Two Humboldt Broncos earned honours from the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for their performance on the ice in October. Forward Andrew Johnston, a new member of the Broncos this year, was named the SJHL Player of the Month.

Broncos dominate third to win over Mils

They were outshot by miles, but the Humboldt Broncos managed to hang on and win over the Melville Millionaires at home last week. The Broncos took on the Mils on November 1 in front of a hometown crowd of about 350 people.

Moose killed after colliding with Fiesta

A moose had to be destroyed after it collided with a small car near St. Gregor last week. At 7:11 p.m. on October 25, emergency crews from Humboldt were called to what was reported as a single vehicle collision on Hwy. 5 near St. Gregor.
