Peter GurskyOctober 14, 1920 - November 3, 2011 Peter Michael Gursky of Humboldt passed away peacefully at the Humboldt District Hospital with his family at his side on November 3, 2011. He was 91 years of age.

An 84-year-old driver has been charged with proceeding from a stop sign when unsafe after a collision in Humboldt last week. On October 24 at approximately 8:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision on Hwy.

KINAR - Mr. Eugene Joseph Kinar, 79 years of Humboldt and formerly of Carmel, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Humboldt District Hospital. Eugene (Gene) was born on May 1, 1932 at Meacham to Joseph and Joanna (nee Burtney) Kinar.

The Humboldt and District SPCA is going to "Raise the Woof." That's the name the association chose for its campaign to raise money for a new animal shelter. At the HDSPCA, they do what they can with the space that they have.

Although they have different ways of looking at the issues, all three Humboldt candidates in the upcoming November 7 provincial election agree on what are the important issues.

Four local baseball teams were honoured on October 29 in Regina by the Saskatchewan Baseball Association.

It was a victory for both the Lake Lenore boys and girls' soccer teams last weekend. Two provincial championships were held October 28-29 and both Lake Lenore senior teams brought home the gold.
