Saskatchewan summer time

There are some pretty places in the world. Paris in the twilight. The English coast at mid-morning on a sunny day. Mexico at sunset. And, I've been told, Hawaii at pretty much any time of day.

Judging for the 2011 Communities in Bloom Competition is happening right now all across Canada. The results of this year's friendly competition will be announced on Saturday, October 29 at the Communities in Bloom Symposium and Awards in Quebec City.

Taking ownership

Last week, I was alerted to a little visitor outside my front door - a small grey and white cat without a collar, sitting on my front step. Amazingly, when I asked him to hold on, to not run away, he stayed put while I went to get him some food.
