HUMBOLDT — An effort to teach school children about the risks that come with being on a farm and other places is making changes to deal with current health restrictions.

HUMBOLDT — Darcy Leonew, who is currently a captain for the Humboldt Fire Department, has announced his bid to join city council. Leonew has been with the department for 40 years, with the last five serving as captain.

EAST CENTRAL — To acknowledge Orange Shirt Day, Cumberland College produced a 22 minute video for community members and classrooms across the region in lieu of being unable to safely hold round dances.

MELFORT — Training for the upcoming season can resume for the Melfort Mustangs, as they have been cleared to do so by health authorities, the team announced.

HUMBOLDT — Two major donations have provided a $24,000 boost towards the Humboldt District Hospital Foundation’s mission to buy new hospital equipment.
