A four-phase plan to resume services at Saskatchewan Health Authority facilities includes surgical services, mental health and addictions, and diagnostic imaging. The plan was announced on May 5. Phase I is set to begin May 19.

TISDALE — Tisdale RCMP are asking the public for any information about a vehicle that hit the pedestrian crosswalk sign on 100A Street at Memorial Park. The sign sustained major damage. Police believe the sign was hit between the hours of 10 p.m.

MELFORT — Melfort Council received an update on the proposed Melfort Hospital Heliport during their monthly meeting.

STAR CITY— A total of about 18,000 square metres were burned through by a grass fire in the RM of Star City. The Melfort Fire Department responded on April 30, at about 4:18 p.m.

EAST CENTRAL — With July quickly approaching, the Melfort Exhibition has been cancelled. Kim Eskowich, manager of the Melfort Agricultural Society which runs the exhibition, said holding the event this summer has no longer become feasible.

HUMBOLDT — Two adults from Saskatoon have been charged in connection with a string of break and enters across central Saskatchewan, including the Humboldt area. The break-and-enters and thefts took place between Feb. 4 and April 26.
