HUMBOLDT — Thirty students are getting a unique opportunity to recognize Humboldt veterans this November.

Luciano Pavarotti’s father introduced him to music. He urged the famous tenor to work very hard to develop his voice. Arrigo Pola, a professional musician, took him as a pupil. But he also enrolled in a teachers’ college.

HUMBOLDT — KMK Sales Ltd is asking for public assistance after a green and black 2019 ZR SNO Pro was stolen from their property. The theft occurred between the night of Oct. 31 and the morning of Nov. 1.

MELFORT — Sàj Starcevich of Melfort is among 15 young Canadians from across the country filing a lawsuit against the federal government of Canada for contributing to climate change.

EAST CENTRAL — SGI is giving safety tips to the costumed children running from house to house demanding candy this Halloween.

HUMBOLDT, TISDALE — Newfoundland singers and songwriters Nick Earle and Chris Kirby will be visiting communities throughout the region as part of a tour organized by the Saskatchewan Arts Council. Kirby described his music as soul.

HUMBOLDT — A fee charged to visitors staying in Humboldt could fund marketing campaigns and events to attract more people to the city.
