Over the last two years I have had the joy of writing stories about a wide variety of sports, one of those being drag racing. It is really interesting to me to see so many Humboldt youth getting involved in drag racing.

Besides press and councillors, only one person showed any interest in the Public Budget Meeting on April 10.

Melfort Council is reviewing its plan to develop recreation facilities at Spruce Haven Park in the face of a budget shortfall.

A veteran of the Carrot River Fire Department and a former town councillor was selected as Carrot River’s citizen of the year. Dale Debienne has served 27 years on the fire department and 20 on Carrot River council.

A pink grad dress was stolen from a Kelvington home. The home, located on the 100 block of Third Avenue West, was broken into between March 31 and April 2. The dress is worth around $550.
