Nov. 11 marked another opportunity for people around the world to pay their respects and show their appreciation for the sacrifices soldiers have made to make our lives better.

Lion Bear Fox have been enjoying their tour of Saskatchewan. The trio played Watrous on Nov. 9 and Humboldt on Nov. 12.

Some of the best skaters from across the province descended on Humboldt for the Provincial Championships Nov 11-13. Approximately 100 skaters from at least 20 different clubs from across the province competed in a number of competitions.

The senior girls hosted the six-team 4A West Region tournament on Nov. 12 as they welcomed teams from Rosetown, Maple Creek, Saskatoon Christian, Lanigan, and Outlook. The Mohawks kicked off their tournament against Outlook.

I had the privilege of talking with two amazing students who spent a week this past summer going to Kenya with Me to We and their Travel with Purpose trips.

KOSIK: In loving memory of Edward David December 30, 1946 – October 31, 2016 With broken hearts we announce the passing of Ed Kosik on October 31, 3016. Ed was born in Wishart Saskatchewan to Agnes and Walter Kosik.

KNIHNITSKI: Clara Veronica January 10, 1928 – November 4, 2016 The death of Mrs. Clara Veronica (nee Saretzky) Knihnitski of Saskatoon, SK, (and formerly of Peterson, SK), occurred at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, on Friday, November 4, 2016.

MORRISON: Marilyn October 17, 1960 – November 8, 2016 It is with deep sadness and disbelief that the family of Marilyn Morrison (nee Wickenhauser) announces her passing on November 8, 2016 at the age of 56.

The Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce had another year of success with their 2016 Humboldt Fall Business Showcase & Trade show on Nov. 5-6.
