Rainbow coffee a future outlet for LGBT+ youth Come as you are. That is the message that organizers wanted young people and their family and friends to understand when they came to the first Rainbow Coffee on Sept. 14.

The Humboldt Broncos opened their 2016-2017 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League with a weekend sweep of the Notre Dame Hounds. The Broncos kicked off their season on home ice on Sept. 17 for the front half of a home-and-home with the Hounds.

Humboldt have made amazing strides in proclaiming their first Pride Week. Especially in rural Saskatchewan, it is hard to be different so any support we can offer to those of the LGBT+ community is great.

Missoula Children’s Theater was in town again for another stellar performance, this year with 50 local child actors putting on “Rapunzel” on Sept. 17.

The cold did not stop many joining the Humboldt PFLAG group and Mayor Malcolm Eaton for the first ever raising of the pride flag at City Hall on Sept. 12 to kick off Humboldt’s first Pride Week that runs from Sept. 11-18.

The Humboldt Emergency Services Charity Golf Tournament had another successful, if slower, year. In total, 84 golfers came out to the Texas Scramble four golfer best ball tournament for causes all across Humboldt and area.

Looking at the paintings on the wall, anyone can see why two different painters belong together in the Sense of Place exhibit.

It was a very busy preseason schedule for the Humboldt Broncos this season as they played five games in seven days including three straight over the weekend as they got prepared to open their 2016-2017 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season.
